2006:              PhD in New Testament Studies at the Department of Theology and Religion, University of Durham, UK, under the supervision of Prof. James Dunn and Prof. John Barclay.
                        Title of Thesis: “‘Created in Christ Jesus for good works”: The Integration of Soteriology and Ethics in Ephesians’.
 
1993-1995:    Courses in Classical Greek and Latin (18, 16 and 14 points respectively - scale 20), Catholic University of Lisbon, Portugal.
 
1991-1993     MA Honours in Theology (final classification 93.3 - scale 100), Continental Theological Seminary, Brussels, Belgium.

1993-1995                Leading seminars in Lisbon and surrounding areas on leadership training for youth and children’s work as well as Greek-based seminars for pastors and leaders.
 
1991                         Church Planting Campaign in Cape Verde Islands, Africa. This work also involved interpreting from English into Portuguese for international speakers. I also had the opportunity to preach.
 
1990-1991                Sunday school teacher for refugee children (mainly Muslim) in Brussels, Belgium.
 
1989                         Worked for one month as a volunteer at “Teen Challenge” female centre in Budapest, Hungary. This centre is for women with drug and alcohol addictions.
 
1988                         Evangelism in the Azores Islands (Pico and Faial) for one month. This included preaching, teaching and evangelising different communities.
