• Short description of the course: This course focuses on the nature of Inductive Bible Study with special emphasis on the contextualization and application of the inductive methodology in personal Bible study, in small group study and in the preparation of teaching materials.

  • Short description of the course: An overview of the history of the intertestamental period, its varieties of religious thought and literature, and the religious groups and sects of the time. Furthermore, a synthetic survey of the Gospels and Acts. Special attention is given to structure of each book, its place in the canon, and background material (such as authorship, date of writing, etc). 

  • Short description of the course: An overview of Paul’s theology set firmly within its literary, historical, and cultural contexts. Background to each letter, structure, theology, and examination of various “problem” passages is included for the letters.

  • Short description of the course: An overview of the later New Testament texts set firmly within their literary, historical, and cultural contexts. Background to each letter, structure, theology, and examination of various “problem” passages is included for the epistles.
  • This course is an overview of the main issues in Christian education, i.e.. it’s scope, working with people of all ages, CE’s place in the church, a model for ministry, and a brief overview of lesson planning and preparation.
